Hello, I'm Michelle
I’m a Computer Science student at the University of Victoria (graduating November 2025).
I want to live at the intersection of technology and art, building things that are simple, thoughtful, and a little unexpected.
Where I Started
I started studying biology and psychology, then a first-year CS class pulled me in. It was love at first sight, totally endless in possibilities. Pretty soon instead of dissecting frogs or the human psyche, I found myself dissecting algorithms and debugging code.
Math classes weren't my favorite, but just coding things (yes I know, very CS student of me), even small projects, kept pulling me back.
Skills
Here’s what I’m comfortable working with right now.
- Python, C, Java, Rust, Haskell, AVR Assembly
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WebGL, Astro
- Figma, Miro, Photoshop
- SQL
- Git, Linux
- PyTorch, Scikit-learn
Other Things I Like
I grew up drawing, painting, sewing, and building things. I'm still happiest when creating something. I take a deep interest in how internet spaces blend creativity and connection, and I am trying to bring that spirit into the things I build.
What I'm Exploring
- Creative front-end work with Astro
- Experimenting with machine learning models and computer vision
- Building small, personal online spaces
- Looking into Azure, and trying to build something musical 🎵
- Maybe a campus water fountain rater (good water matters)
I'm always looking for new tools and frameworks to learn, and I enjoy picking up new tech stacks quickly when a project calls for it.
Say Hey
I’m open to internships, collaborations, and cool project ideas. Always down to swap ideas, talk about building stuff, or argue about skating playlists. Email me or find me on LinkedIn.
